Peter Biver - Professional Skating Coach
Customized Training for Skaters
 
Peter Biver is a three-time U.S. Figure Skating  (USFS)Gold Medalist and offers professional skating instruction in moves, freestyle, pairs, ice dancing, hockey skating and off-ice training for determined skaters of all ages and abilities.  He is the coach of multiple USFS Gold Medalist skaters in Moves and Freestyle as well as Regional Competitors and Adult National Competitors.  Peter follows a holistic approach to coaching by focusing on the complete development of each skater's personal potential as an athlete and artist.  Currently Peter is on staff at the St. Paul Figure Skating Club and at the St. Croix Valley Recreational Center in Stillwater, MN and is currently accepting new students in both USFS and Ice Skating Institute (ISI) programs.
 
Peter was trained by several Olympians, including Elena Valova, the 1984 Olympic Champion in pairs with her partner Oleg Vasiliev.  Valova and Vasiliev were coached by Tamara Mosvina, one of the most esteemed coaches in pairs skating history.  Peter was also coached by Olympians Karen Courtland-Kelly, U.S. National medalist, and Andrew Naylor, six-time British pairs champion.  He is grateful for the wisdom shared by all his coaches and for the knowledge he continues to gain through nationwide coaching clinics and seminars in order to bring out the most in each of his students.
